Healthy Chocolate Avocado Pudding
This creamy, chocolatey pudding is packed with heart‑healthy fats, antioxidants, and fiber.
- 2 ripe avocados, flesh only
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup (or honey)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of sea salt
- 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk (optional, to adjust thickness)
- Optional toppings: fresh berries, chopped nuts
- Dice the avocados and place the flesh in a high‑speed blender.
- Add cocoa powder, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and sea salt.
- Blend on high until the mixture is completely smooth—about 30 seconds.
- If the pudding is too thick, pour in almond milk a tablespoon at a time and blend until desired consistency.
- Transfer to serving bowls, cover, and chill in the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes.
- Serve cold, topping with berries or nuts if desired.
Health tip: Avocados deliver healthy monounsaturated fats that support heart health, while cocoa is a natural source of flavonoids that help protect blood vessels.
